No, because that would mean our economy implodes, and even though money isn't really 'real', it's real enough that people will starve and heads will go on sticks when the economy grinds to a standstill. <br /><br />Makes me think that pushing pollies for a steady-state economy is probably one of the most benign moves we can make, as, even though they won't embrace it in any hurry, they are going to continue trying to "grow" their way out of debt until everything's used up and trashed. <br /><br />Incidentally, did you know that QLD is $80bn in debt? There is a invite-only roundtable session this evening in Brisbane, courtesy of the state treasurer and minister for trade. A mate of mine has been lucky enough to score an invite and is probably the lone voice present that will advocate for a solution other than "grow our way out of this mess" - which we all know translates to more coal mining....
